I received my mechanical engineer degree back in 2016 from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. In my thesis, I worked on developing a parallel kinematic robot for additive manufacturing applications. Later on, from 2016 to 2018 I became a professor of classical mechanics in Universidad Central de Venezuela. I passed to part-time teaching from march of 2017 when I started to work as a project engineer at an engineering firm in Venezuela. In this company I did had the chance to develop some interesting applications for improving their own processes and also developed a digital twin Virtual Reality application.
I kept teaching and developing until august 2018 when I moved to France to proceed with my studies in robotics. Hence, from 2018 to 2020, I did my master's degree in robotics at the Ècole Central de Nantes in Nantes. Finishing my master's thesis in the GVLab of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Tokyo, Japan. During my thesis, I worked in a control framework for the assembly of components using a model-based control, compliance control, and visual servoing.
In 2020, I started collaborating with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia as Ph.D. student fellow. Mainly working in the SoftManBot project, a cross-sectoral project funded in the EU Horizon 2020 framework aiming at the development of precise and robust dexterous grippers to employ in manufacturing industries. Then, in 2021, I became a Ph.D. Student in Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Università di Genova. During my Ph.D. I am investigating the use of Deep Learning strategies for dynamic model identification together with model-based control for fast pick and place tasks.
